The UK is ‘unlikely’ to meet up with long-term European broadband internet plans being put forth by the EU, it’s been claimed.

Online gurus have declared that achieving the target will be a substantial struggle for the UK until the nation benefits from ‘substantial government funding’.

‘The present best broadband speed is just in excess of 6Mbps and many people with compare broadband packages in rural areas cannot achieve anything close to this,’ a spokesman spelled out.

The suggestions follow the publication of broadband speed test information recently published that indicated that the UK currently delivers the 31st quickest download speed and the 56th quickest upload times.
